Monolith Festival reveals 2009 lineup

monolith-festivalThe third annual Monolith Festival at Red Rocks two-day lineup this September includes headliners as Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MSTRKRFT, Doom and Colorado’s own The Pirate Signal.

Between September 12 and 13 more than 50 bands will perform at the Red Rocks Festival.

While the Saturday headliner is still listed as a question mark, there are a number of big name bands already signed on including:

Girl Talk

Method Man & Redman

The Dandy Warhols


Passion Pit


Of Montreal

M. Ward

The Walkman


Tickets are $52 or $95 for two day passes before Aug. 14 and $59.50 and $110 for two day passes Aug. 15 to Sept. 10. Day of tickets are $65.

  1. Of Montreal will be a treat. Chromeo and Girl Talk will be fun too, no doubt. Is it me or do I not see the really big headliners of the calibre featured the past two years?

  2. Matt – I’d agree, although Monolith prides itself on brining new names to the scene each year. It will be interesting to see who they get for Sunday. Yeah Yeah Yeahs and MSTRKRFT are a solid draw too.
